Ramon ‘El Tigre’ Ramos already has his Tigre Tacos truck parked up at Nine Lives Alley in London Bridge but now he’s expanding by taking up residence at The Gunmakers (who do one of the best Sunday roasts in London) in Clerkenwell. The pub has been undergoing a restoration so it’ll have a bit of new look when it reopens in May along with the fresh new food coming out of the kitchen. Ramon’s Mexicali menu, which is inspired by streetside taquerias and 70s Southern California, will feature only seafood and veggie dishes including Baja No-Fish banana blossom tacos; oysters with El Tigre’s hibiscus vinaigrette; lobster tail tacos; courgette, baby corn & hibiscus flower tacos; and whole charcoal grilled octopus with corn tortillas & Tigre trimmings. There’ll be agave-based cocktails like mezcalitas, palomas, and micheladas to go with the Tigre Tacos menu alongside craft beers and natural wines. OLÉ.
