Santa in the City is returning to raise money for cancer charity Sarcoma UK
If you’re going to be out and about in the City on 4th and 5th December, prepare to see thousands of Santas running through the streets. The sea of red suits and white beards will be on a 4.5km journey passing St Paul’s Cathedral, the River Thames, Millennium Bridge and Tower Bridge, as part of Santa in the City.
The event is in aid of Sarcoma UK, a charity dedicated to funding research into this rare form of cancer and supporting people affected by it. It’s open to both runners and walkers and the registration fee is £28.95, which includes a Santa suit and a finisher’s medal, so you can sign up now if you want to take part.
Speaking about the event, organiser Rebecca Milburn says, “We want to use the power of Christmas spirit and the allure of thousands of Santas to shine a spotlight on this important cause. With every step they take, those Santas running for Sarcoma UK will support life-saving research and crucial care for sarcoma patients.”
