THIS NEW SHOREDITCH RESTAURANT IS SERVING UP SUSHI ON A ‘MONORAIL’

CHŪŌ has been described as a ‘tech-led sushi experience’

If you’re bored of conveyor belt sushi (or Kaitenzushi), then here’s the next big thing: Sushi Monorail. Well, whether or not this is gonna take off is TBD, but CHŪŌ (now open in Shoreditch) is betting it will. The new sushi and izakaya spot is serving up ‘quick value quality’ Japanese classics, powered by a signature tech-led system.

Europe’s first Sushi Monorail looks like it’s be exactly what it sounds like: sushi delivered on model monorail trains. You can also expect 40 different types of high-quality sushi and izakaya-style dishes, including green dragon rolls, nigiri, sashimi, gyoza, as well as counter dining. If you’ve not got time to enjoy the full monorail experience, the restaurant also ready-made sushi boxes for you to grab and go.
