The best restaurant in London according to TripAdvisor is, wait for it…German Doner Kebab. That’s right, German Doner Kebab. Given it’s located on the doorstep of Buckingham Palace we presume it’s mostly tourists reviewing because, well, we’re not entirely sure it’s a spot frequented by Londoners, unless they’ve sunk a pint or two and we can’t imagine they’d be in a state to even remember the kebab, let alone review it.
But it’s not just kebabs or the prestigious TripAdvisor accolade we’re interested in. It’s the fact that GDK are also serving up doner nachos and doner spring rolls. MIND = BLOWN. We’re willing to take one for the team and hotfoot it down to review but the key takeaway here is (pun intended) don’t use TripAdvisor when you travel if you want to eat in the best restaurants. Unsurprisingly, we haven’t seen GDK in any of the restaurant lists we’re reading.
