London’s first empanada-dedicated spot is branching out with a second site in Shoreditch
DE NADAS landed in town with a shop in Portobello last summer, giving London its first empanaderia and a taste of Argentine cuisine. Clearly, us Londoners liked it as they’re already moving onto empanaderia number two and this time, they’re taking their handmade bakes east.
The new DE NADAS will have the same menu as the W10 site, with 15 differently shaped options made with baked vegan dough. The fillings will include the likes of beef, olives, peppers & egg; ham & cheese; spicy lamb; caramelised Malbec onions & cheese; butternut squash & kale; mozzarella, basil & cherry tomatoes; blue cheese & pear; and cheese, coriander & aji molido.
As with the OG location, there’ll be empanada lunch meal deals on offer during the week (a choice of empanadas with salad on the side) and you’ll be able to stock up with boxes of six, nine or 12. There’ll also be a deli offering at the Shoreditch spot, including the likes of homemade chimichurri, alfajores, yerba mate and dulce de leche, and there’ll be a small seating area for anyone wanting to dine in.
