THIS CAFE AND TAPROOM IS HELPING TO FIGHT HOMELESSNESS AND FOOD WASTE

Good Company, a social enterprise-led coffee shop and bar, has launched in N1

Change Please, a coffee company that works to end homelessness, and Toast Ale, a sustainable brewer that uses surplus bakery bread to make their beer, have joined forces for their first joint venture. Good Company, which is now open British Land’s Regent’s Place campus, is described as a café and taproom experience.

The all-day cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, working with other similar-minded organisations to put together the food menu. For example, there’ll be cakes from Breadwinners, a social enterprise bakery that supports refugees and young people seeking asylum, and hot pies supplied by sustainable pie makers Pieminister.

The drinks list features the full range of beers from Toast, as well as carefully selected guest beers and bevs from brands that share Good Company’s ethos. Those drinks will go well with the programme of events, such as talks and film screenings, that the space will play host to. And this is not only a new hangout spot, it will also be providing training opportunity to those experiencing homelessness, continuing Change Please’s mission of breaking the unemployment cycle. So, if you want to make a difference with your morning coffee, or your Thursday evening beer, you know where to go.
