The World Chelsea Bun Awards is coming back to Duke of York Square in honour of World Chelsea Bun Day. Hosted by Partridges of Sloane Square, the awards will be raising money for The Children’s Surgery Foundation, which supports children undergoing surgery at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. There are five categories from Junior Bakers to Over-65s, meaning bakers of all ages and skill level can enter, with the buns being judges on taste & flavour, originality & creativity, and presentation & plating.

Michelin starred chef Phil Howard, owner of Partridges John Shepherd, The Children’s Surgery Foundation Chief Executive Hélèna Frost, and a Chelsea Pensioner will make up the judging panel, with prizes going to the winners of each category. The overall winner will also receive a Patridges Hamper and Merci Maman £100 gift voucher. So if you fancy yourself as the next Mary Berry, get working on those buns.
