BLUSH | LILY

Blush might be the new kids on the block, testing the waters with a few demos, but it’s already looking like a bright future ahead for the Brighton quartet. Reminiscent of an early Wolf Alice, new track ‘Lily’ oozes charm with dreamy vocals and a raw edge. Re-freshingly innocent, we’ve fallen head over heels.

KRISTIN KONTROL | X-COMMUNICATE

Lead singer Dee Dee, from the Dum Dum Girls has gone solo with a new project under the name Kristin Kontrol. Ahead of her debut album ‘X-Communicate’, she’s dropped the title track and it’s far less serious than her previous material with a real 80s synth pop feel.  Heavily electronic, it’s squeaky clean around the edges, fun and just a slab of pop goodness.

Norway are producing some of the most exciting bands around at the moment and Great News is the latest to have us all in a daze. Enticing you in with descending synths new single ‘Secrets’ will have you in a trance from the very beginning. London four piece, Smooth Ends latest offering ‘Mr Haines’ brings a touch of the tropical. Injecting a splash of summer into guitar driven indie rock, it’s got an energetic feel, but underlying is a much darker message, making ‘Mr Haines’ all the more intriguing.
