VIRGIN KIDS | CRACK IN A COLOUR

Garage punk trio, Virgin Kids have just dropped their debut single, Cracks In A Colour, ahead of the release of their debut album. Dominated by the catchy hooks, this fuzzy track is filled with rage and is punching above the rest, so we can’t wait to see what they’ve got lined up.

THE ARCS | FOOLS GOLD

Black Keys singer, Dan Auerbach is on busy bee and The Arcs is his latest project. Leading the band, there are hints of the blues-esque slacker rock in new track ‘Fools Gold’ and with one hell’va guitar solo, it’s gone back to basics to make a real impact and oh does it work.

CAPTIVA | ROAD TO RUIN

Hailing all the way from Kansas City, Captiva’s infectious rock is very much welcome this side of the Atlantic. ‘Road to Ruin’ is energetic, catchy and hook laden and sounds like indie rock from the early 200os, but turned up a gear and we like.

SOFT FANGS | THE AIR

Taking the idea of bedroom music quite literally, the man behind Soft Fangs recorded his debut album in his childhood home and came out with this slab of nostalgic lo-fi goodness. Breaking through the wall of guitars and drums, a soft voice appears with airy vocals, taking you on an eerie journey, through the light and the dark.

THEE OH SEES | FORTRESS

Psych-Garage outfit Thee Oh Sees, have just dropped new track ‘Fortress’ which is set to be the A-Side of their 7inch single due out in February. Driven by the drums, the strong guitar riffs build up the track into a masterpiece, with the falsetto vocals few and far between it could just sound like your average jam, but this is ‘Fortress’ and it shines high and mighty above the rest.
