https://soundcloud.com/hyenauk/forget-my-name/
Four piece Hyena are the definition of grunge. With loud, aggressive sounds you can picture them smashing up an arena already. Their new single ‘Forget My Name’ is so tight, filled with heavy riffs and punky vocals, Hyena have well and truly put rock back where it should be and is a name not to forget
YAK | NO
Yak have a unique and weird take on garage and we love it. Latest single ‘NO’ is fiery, in your face and a little bit sinister. Saying f**ck you to any conventions, with screeching guitars, wailing vocals, solid riffs, clashing organs and a few synths thrown into the mix, it’s energetic, constant noise and just really great. Check out our video interview here.
THE MAGIC GANG | ALRIGHT
https://soundcloud.com/themagicgang/alright
Indie rockers, The Magic Gang’s latest track ‘Alright’ is better than alright. With an old skool Weezer vibe, this laid back track might be mellow, but also has a sense of power. Catchy vocals and repetitive guitar riffs makes the track insanely addictive too.
KUROMA | GONNA GET COOL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj2VWo3kftA
The love child of MGMT’s James Richardson and The Whigs guitarist Hank Sullivant resulted in the psych rock outfit, Kuroma. Weird as ever, Gonna Get Cool, is like some kinda confusing trip. Accompanied by an even more confusing video, the breezy vocals overlay chugging guitars, catchy hooks and layers of synths keeping you beyond mesmerised.
VANT | PARKING LOT
They might only just be stepping into the industry, but Vant are already making a pretty huge impression with new single ‘Parking Lot’. With a real alternative indie sound, this catchy track is packed with riffs, a solid rock beat and grungy vocals.
