| NOM DE GUERRE

Essentially the lovechild of The Foals and Friendly Fires, Fairchild’s latest track succeeds where others fail thanks to Adam Lyon’s emotive, almost androgynous vocals that elevate the track to a new level, especially in the absolutely gorgeous middle-eight.

METRIC | CASCADES

Metric call Cascades the “beating heart” of their upcoming new album, and on first listen it’s not hard to see why. It’s a thumping electronic track that transcends the line between hitting hard and treading softly, in part thanks to some Debbie Harry-style vocals from Emily Haines.

PHASES | I’M IN LOVE WITH MY LIFE

With a summer heatwave finally gloriously shining down on London, we couldn’t think of a better track to help you welcome it. I’m In Love With My Life is a sweet, dizzy indie-pop track that you can listen to whilst strutting through the streets of the capital, as the sun warms your face and you feel better than all the poor fuckers walking past you.

KYTES | INNER CINEMA

Feeling very Academy Is…Kytes debut single is a uplifting 80s-influenced effort that’s packed full of so many good vibes – and a heavy dose of pop sensibility – that we don’t recommend it for anything other than celebrating that Friday feeling. We warn you though, one listen is never enough. We’re currently on our fourth in a row and have no intention of stopping…

OUTFIT | FRAMED

The Liverpool-based five-piece have crafted something truly special here. Framed is a spacey, indie-rock effort that goes almost criminally by-the-numbers until it stumbles into its hazy, rhythmically altered chorus that is probably the highlight of this week’s NOISE BOX all things considered. Who says consistency is always a good thing?
