| LOSE MY MIND

Our favourite track of the week comes from New York-based filmmaker and composer Samuel Aaron Bennett, who plays with orchestral elements to create a gorgeous, tranquil debut single that sends you on what can only be described as a spiritual journey from start to finish.

DJANGO DJANGO | BEGINNING TO FADE

Taken from their brand new album, released May 4 and debuting just ahead of their upcoming UK and European tour, Beginning To Fade is a triumphant reminder that Django Django, known for their effortless brand of electronic rock, are still head and shoulders above their peers.

COMMUNIONS | OUT OF MY WORLD

A track that tells the story of that familiar “first sensation of meeting someone new and the way it can make you feel like anything is possible,” Out Of My World is suitably euphoric in nature. It’s melody laden chorus somehow manages to feel both all over the place and completely coherent in equal measure, which we think sums up that instant feeling of attraction so wonderfully.

PHANTOGRAM | K.Y.S.A

In celebration of Grand Theft Auto V’s imminent release on PC, Rockstar have teamed up with an eclectic mix of artists to create new soundtrack Welcome To Los Santo. The franchise has always had a truly inspired soundtrack – who can forget running down hookers in a tank to the sound of Video Killed The Radio Star in Vice City as a teenager – and the latest album is no different. The urgency of lead singer Sarah Barthel’s vocals on K.Y.S.A’s chorus as she sings “Keep yourself alive” over a relentless, echoey drumbeat feels like the perfect addition to any budding criminals CD collection.

WOLF ALICE | BROS

Last but not least we have Wolf Alice, who have shared a re-working of their track Bros, which is set to appear in their upcoming debut LP. The North London group have caught the eye of rock fans over the past year, and the band look set to continue that trend with a track that’s an powerfully melancholic ode to the slow, inevitable fading of youth.
