we’re watching The Voyeurs new video, does that make us The Voyeurs? New single Pete the Pugilist does leave you scratching your hand, in a good way. It’s scuzzy like a 90’s Seattle stoner, but as refined as an Oxford boating blazer. There’s a real heady mixture of sounds that really make them stand out. It feels like wearing an outfit that’s totally mismatched, but somehow looks strikingly original instead of ostentatiously trying too hard. Geddit?

The video is a beautiful yet plain and close-up study of the actor Maxine Anastasia. The band have got some great support gigs under their belt (The Horrors), but are ready to drop this and the new album ‘Rhubarb Rhubarb’ as headliners at some pretty cool dates and festivals, including the big one, Glasto.

Pete the Pugilist is out Monday 13th July 2015 on Heavenly Records.

16th June Glastonbury Festival (William’s Green)
5th July Liverpool Kazimier (Heavenly 25 all-dayer)
26th July Abbots Ripton Secret Garden Party
