February, in secret tunnels beneath Waterloo, the Vault Festival is presenting the broadest imaginable programme of entertainment, from opera to cinema, live music and even a puppet theatre. With hundreds of performers and ten thousand tickets available, this is set to be a huge event!

Kicking off on Thursday 9th February, the event runs Thursday to Sunday for three weeks until Sunday 26th February. Tickets start from just £5 and you only pay for what you see.

Events include Silent Opera performing a sexy, contemporary version of Puccini’s La Boheme. Whilst the actors perform in silence, the audience wear headphones playing a recorded orchestral score – mixing the classic with the modern. Also appearing are The Furies, a heavy metal operatic performance fusing rock, metal and soul in a story of rage, revenge and betrayal.

If cinema is your thing then you may want to check out the Hammer Flicker Club, a horror movie extravaganza from the classic British studio. Featured films include The Woman In Black, The Plague of Zombies and Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell. Alternatively, you may prefer the twisted puppetry of The Great Puppet Horn and their biting satire of current events. Check out a preview on youtube.
