They’ve already given us the Gherkin and now architects Foster + Partners have had their plans for the Tulip approved by the City of London. This means it would become the second tallest building in London standing at 305.3 metres tall. Designed as a visitor attraction, the Tulip has a viewing platform, rotating gondolas, internal sky bridges, bars and restaurants as well as a high-tech educational facility and spaces for cultural and technological events. FANCY. Building works are planned for next year and the tower could be up and running by 2025.
