THE TOWER OF LONDON MOAT WILL BE FILLED WITH WILD FLOWERS IN 2022

Remember when the moat at the Tower of London was awash with ceramic poppies in 2014 as part of the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red installation to mark the centenary of the start of WW1? Well, flowers are coming back to the London landmark, real ones this time, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – aka 70 years on throne – in 2022.

Superbloom will feature thousands of wild flowers, which are being sown in the spring to appear from June onwards, with sculptures and soundscapes being installed in the moat too, before it all disappears in September. You’ll be able to walk amongst the flowers this time round too or, if you’re in the adventurous mood, you’ll also be able to dive straight into the flower moat down a giant slide which has been recycled from Cliveden park. Get ready to escape into a meadow right in the heart of the city.
