The Cause crew has form when it comes to turning old industrial spaces into atmospheric new venues, and it’s done it again with Vittoria Wharf. An original warehouse loft in Fish Island, Hackney Wick – which also happens to the very spot where The Cause co-founder Stuart Glen thew his first-ever London Loft Party – has been transformed into a multipurpose club and arts space.
The loft, with its exposed brick and canalside views, is now a 200-capacity venue equipped with a four-point Martin Audio sound system and custom lighting from Sensory Studio. Vittoria Wharf is opening on Easter weekend with ‘A Very Very Good After Party’, happening after The Cause’s Good Friday all-dayer, with the rest of the programme including regular intimate parties and artist-focused all-day and night events. The likes of Charlie Bones, Unai Trotti, Kasra V, Telephones, Percolate, Hand-Made, Wax Villainy and Wigflex will all be passing through with many more names still to hit the schedule.
Speaking about the opening, The Cause team said: “Multiple stories up, is a new home for London’s grassroots, for London’s new ideas, for London’s risk takers. This is a space for you… London’s underground, in the sky.” If you’re looking for a new place to party in Hackney Wick, this is it.
