The Team Behind Supernova Has Opened a Parisian Brasserie in Mayfair

It comes ahead of the smashburger sensation opening in the neighbourhood

Even if you haven’t had one, you’ll likely be familiar with Supernova, the smashburger spot in Soho that went viral when it opened, with people queuing round the block to try it. The brand is opening a second burger joint in Mayfair this summer but before the smashburgers come to W1, parent group BVC Hospitality (which also operates cookie brand Crème and North Audley Cantine), has opened a Parisian brasserie on Duke Street.

74 Duke Street is all about classic French food and great wines, with the menu including:

  • duchess potatoes with sour cream & chives
  • foie gras terrine
  • white asparagus with summer truffle cream
  • chicken with tarragon & dijon sauce
  • grilled seabass a la Provençale
  • 74 Duke burger – a wagyu patty with American cheese and dijonnaise
  • rice pudding with salted caramel
  • brown butter chocolate chip cookies with banana caramel ice cream

With a second outpost of Josephine recently opened in Marylebone, the Patron team bringing The French Society to West Hampstead, and the Bagatelle Group opening Chez Lui in Notting Hill in June, clearly the trend for French brassieres is going nowhere.
