THE TEAM BEHIND PECKHAM CELLARS ARE OPENING A SECOND SPOT

Little Cellars will open in Camberwell this September

It was first announced over a year ago and now Peckham Cellars is finally getting its younger sibling as Little Cellars is set to open very soon. Since its launch in late 2019, Peckham Cellars has become a cult SE15 favourite and the founding trio, Helen Hall, Luke West-Whylie and Ben McVeigh, has decided it’s time to expand – while still keeping it in the neighbourhood. So, Little Cellars will be landing in a cosy corner in Camberwell this September, with both indoor and terrace seating and, of course, lots of food and great wine.

Little Cellars will have a new head chef, Ollie Lawrance, who’s put together a menu of bar snacks and bigger dishes exclusive to the site. Expect the likes of:

  • Confit chicken leg, coco beans & girolles
  • Caillettes, carrots & sour plum
  • Piedmont pepper on toast
  • Courgettes Provençal & truffled polenta
  • Lamb brochettes & bagna verde
  • Poached trout, artichoke & seaweed beurre blanc

They’ll also have a ‘Saturday sandwich special’ which will include options such as mortadella, mozzarella, jardiniere & rocket; coronation cauliflower, mixed leaves & crispy onion; aubergine schnitz, house slaw & pesto; and porchetta, jardiniere, apple & mixed leaves.

As with the OG site, the new wine bar will serve up a vibrant mix of old and new world wines by the glass. The team has also acquired the bar’s adjoining space which will become the Cellar Next Door, a new bottle shop complete with a 25-cover basement tasting room. Plus, for the first two days of opening (Thurs 7th & Fri 8th September) they’ll be running a soft launch deal that’ll get you 25% off your food bill. Sounds like all you South Londoners are in for a treat.

Opens Thurs 7th September 2023
