The band will be in Gunnersbury Park this August
It’s looking like west London’s Gunnersbury Park is gonna be the place to be for live music in the capital this summer – as well as Khruangbin, PAWSA, and The Libertines already confirmed, The Smashing Pumpkins have just announced a massive show there in August, following the likes of Peggy Gou, KoRn and PJ Harvey who all played the park in 2024.
The Smashing Pumpkins are one of the most influential bands of all time, having shaped the alternative music scene, sold over 30 million albums worldwide, picked up a slew of Grammy Awards and VMAs, and performed several popular arena tours. The band’s latest album Aghori Mhori Mei, released in 2024, saw Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, and James Iha showcase their signature sound and spiky vocals, and you’ll be able to see some of those songs come to life at Gunnersbury Park.
As well as the London date in August, The Smashing Pumpkins will also be playing The Piece Hall in Halifax, Scarborough Open Air Theatre, and Colchester Castle. Joining the band in support will be trailblazing alternative rock quartet Skunk Anansie, who have kicked off 2025 with new single ‘An Artist Is An Artist’, and indie band White Lies.
With Michael Bibi playing Silverworks Island; headline shows from Iggy Pop, Beyoncé, and Oasis; and all these music festivals pitching up in town, 2025 is gonna be one hell of a year for music fans so you’d best get your diaries nice and organised. Tickets for The Smashing Pumpkins at Gunnersbury Park go on artist pre-sale from 10am on Tues 11th February, with various other platform pre-sales beginning on Weds 12th and Thurs 13th February, before general sale opens at 10am on Fri 14th February.
