The Hops and Glory on Essex Road is no more, with new botanical bar The Seveney now open in its place. As well as being packed with plants and bold blue accents (wait for those ‘grams to start rolling in), The Seveney is all about fresh, seasonal food and drink. The daily menu features European-influenced dishes like fried dumplings with artichokes, wild garlic and kale pesto; coal-roasted top rump with smoked aubergine; and pork belly with tarragon polenta and chanterelles, as well as weekend brunches and roasts. On the drinks front, there are twelve rotating beer taps mixing British and Belgian brews, an organic, natural and biodynamic wine list and a cocktail menu that incorporates lots of botanicals. With an outside green space set to open soon too, we can see The Seveney being one popular spot come summer.
