THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE TO STREAM PERFORMANCES FOR FREE

Like the National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe, the Royal Opera House is streaming some of its most popular operas and ballets for free, with a new one being broadcast every Friday at 7pm. Here’s the schedule:

Cendrillon
The Royal Opera’s 2011 production of Massenet’s interpretation of Cinderella
22nd May – 4th June 2020

The Cellist
Cathy Marston’s first ballet for the Main Stage based on life of the cellist Jacqueline du Pré
29th May – 11th June 2020

Il Trittico
The Royal Opera’s 2012 production of Puccini’s three one-act operas
5th – 18th June 2020

La Fille Mal Gardée
The 2005 production of Frederick Ashton’s ballet inspired by his love of the countryside
12th – 25th June 2020

The Magic Flute
Julia Jones conducts this 2017 version of Mozart’s classic opera
19th June – 2nd July 2020
