Deciding that diet is a dirty word, Borough Market’s Roast restaurant has taken the Sunday classic to new heights by sandwiching it between two pieces of bread. That means layers of Welsh Black roast beef, red cabbage, curly kale, melted ale and mustard cheddar, carrot piccalilli and horseradish sour cream now sit inside a roast potato, rosemary and garlic bun. Yes roast potatoes ON the bun. And red wine onion gravy on the side because it’s not a real roast without gravy. Isn’t it beautiful?
