We’re Northerners (and we don’t mean North Londoners), so a good Sunday roast is essential for our well being and when we say good we mean with ALL THE TRIMMINGS (yes mash potato is needed! And yes two potato styles on one plate is totally normal) and lashings of gravy. Surprisingly there aren’t that many great roast places in London so when we find one we like we keep on going back again and again…until it shuts. The Truscott Arms was one of our favourite roasts in London and we were pretty upset when we heard it was closing due to rent increases.
So imagine our joy last week when we found out not only has the chef from The Truscott Arms set up shop in the George & Dragon serving Sunday roasts but also The Truscott Arms is opening up again. Granted it’s a new team – Henry Harris from Racine – but they are promising the “return of the roast”. Watch this space – we’ll be first inline to try it…
