Street has always been associated with fashion; just the name of the street conjures images of flagship stores of upmarket brands that attract people from all over the world. However, what the tourists don’t know is that it is also a great place to find a decent meal too.

Regent Street is home to over 50 international restaurants and a selection of them will be taking part in the 2012 Regent Street Food Safari. This is your opportunity to sample as many of them as possible. The idea is simple, instead of having a three course meal and drinks at one restaurant, you can split up your meal between the participating venues and have a starter at one before moving on to another for a main, another for dessert and another for drinks. Alternatively, you can still stay at one place all night and sample the whole menu, or skip certain elements altogether – if you want to start with a main and move straight to drinks then there’s no obligation to have other courses.

The participating venues are Bentley’s Oyster Bar, FishWorks, The Living Room, Sartoria, Freggo, Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton, Tsukiji Sushi at the Westbury, The East India Company and Rosalind’s Kitchen, providing plenty of choice for all tastes and budgets.

The event takes place between 1st – 15th March.
