The
London Pleasure Gardens have announced that they will be opening on 30th June 2012 with a two day celebration. The Pleasure Gardens are London’s very own labour of love from the team behind Glastonbury’s Shangri-La, and if you’ve ever been in Shangri-La you’re gonna want in here. The gardens will be located in the Olympic East End at the Royal Victoria Dock and will remain open for 3 years. The 20 acre site will host open-air concerts, dance and theatre arenas, historic and contemporary architecture, an urban nature reserve, a boutique hotel and a floating cocktail bar with a 24 hour license. If the artists impression above is anything to go by it looks like this place is going to be ACE.
There may not be a Glastonbury this year but at least we have the Pleasure Gardens!
