Chicago’s own Goose Island has taken roost in Shoreditch with their brand new brewpub – the first one in Europe – and it’s the place to get previously unavailable Goose Island beers like Old Man Grumpy, Fog Bowl and Next Coast, as well as the super-rare Bourbon County Stout. That bourbon barrel-aged bad boy has been responsible for round-the-block queues, so you’ve got a great chance to get it on tap (whilst it lasts of course), with the pub also serving up a Chicago-inspired menu of pizzas, subs, wings and pretzel bites with beer cheese sauce.
To celebrate the opening of the brewpub, Goose Island is giving away pints of beer. All you have to do to get your hands on a complimentary brew is spot one of the ten 1m high goose heads that have been hidden around Shoreditch, take a snap, tag @GooseShoreditch on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, and show it to a member of staff at the Brewpub. The geese won’t be around forever so you’d better get quacking (sorry) if you wanna bag a beer on the house.
