The team behind The Palomar and The Barbary is re-opening Soho stalwart The Blue Posts on Rupert Street in December. Staying true to the pub’s 275 year history the ground floor will remain as a pub serving a menu of bar food, but the rest of the building is where it gets exciting. For starters, they’ve lowered the beer cellar to create Everlyn’s table; a single kitchen counter that will seat about 11 people and serve a daily changing menu. Then on the first floor you’ll find The Mulwray; a cocktail bar with a wood-burning stove, pink furnishings, and Connemara marble and brass details. From first appearances, this place will look just like a pub, but with so much hidden inside and more food details to follow we’re counting down the days until this one opens.
