The Other Art Fair is all about making art accessible – that means showcasing work from lots of emerging and independent artists, and selling them at non-Hirst prices of £100 and up. Over 175 artists will be at the fair, including Simone Brewster, Yang Xu, Philip Michael Martin, Bob & Eve, Anil Mistry, Hannah Lipsey, Jason Turner, Stephen Rybacki and more, so you’ll be spoilt for choice.
And there’s plenty to keep you entertained in between all that browsing and buying. East London Strippers Collective will be hosting life drawing classes; illustrator Hollie Fuller will be doing exclusive prints with her Mini Print Vending Machine; there’ll be a curated stand from RIOT SOUP; you can get inked at s l o w l y Tattoo Studio’s pop-up studio featuring botanical-inspired designs; Black Chalk will be doing free wine tastings; and DJs from Cubicle Culture will be on the decks.
The beauty of The Other Art Fair is that you get to meet the artists as well, so don’t be shy, let your eyes soak it all up, have a proper cultured day out, and maybe buy something for that blank wall that you’ll love for years to come.
