quintet The Orwells recently unveiled first single off their forthcoming debut album ‘Disgraceland’ out on June 2nd. The track ‘Southern Comfort’ due for release on May 12th via Canvasback/Atlantic Records premiered on Zane Lowe on March 31st, is a punchy album opener, resonating through your ears as some sort of melodically unstoppable merry-go-round.

Written a year ago in drummer’s Matt O’ Keefe’s basement “It’s a song that celebrates the simple things in life. Greasy beef sandwiches, old style, ladies and the USA.” as O’ Keefe himself described it.
