Tanaka is all set to cause a stir on Charlotte Street as he opens THE NINTH, his first solo venture in November. the neighbourhood style joint will serve a French-Mediterranean inspired sharing menu for lunch and dinner. Expect everything from veal tortellini with gremolata and bone marrow to smoked aubergine caviar with pickled red onion and salted beef cheeks with oxtail consommé.

The dessert menu tops off the bill with treats including pain perdu with honeycomb and tarte tatin with rosemary ice cream…we give The Ninth 9/10 ALREADY and it hasn’t even opened yet.
