We’ve known for a while Clapton is the place to be, let’s face it our first ever print guide is all about it, but with the re-opening of Jim’s Cafe and now The Mermaid Pub, Clapton just keeps on getting better. The Mermaid has been a boozer since for a long ol’ time, over 100 years to be precise and has now been taken over by Graceland, making it a sibling to The Kings Arms in Bethnal Green and The Earl Of Essex in Angel. Taking it’s name from an old tavern in the area, The Mermaid has 20 taps of beer, and  serves up proper Sunday Roasts and brunch. So if you haven’t already, get swimming to Clapton…
