Christmas Arrives Early as the Liberty Shop Opens

If talking about Christmas in September gets your back up, you might want to stop reading

This summer hasn’t been a vintage one so the only reasonable thing to do is focus on Christmas, right? Ok yes it is still a bit early to start getting in the festive spirit but that hasn’t stopped Liberty, which is first to the punch again having already opened its Christmas shop, in August no less. The fourth floor of the department store has been decked out in typically OTT style, with hundreds of different bauble designs on sale.

From the traditional red, green and gold designs and holly and Santa motifs to wackier ornaments like carnival toucans, dog bones, black cabs, strawberry daiquiris, knitting yarns, slingback heels, sea turtles, and sewing machines this is the place to come for your festive decs. And there’s more besides bits for your tree, with advent calendars (including Liberty’s famous beauty advent calendar), stockings, crackers, wreaths and garlands also on sale. We’ve heard that a wander around Liberty turns even the scroogiest of people merry, so get down there and start feeling a bit of Christmas cheer.
