about a heafty dose of 60s folk rock, 90s soul and early noughties pop, whith soaring synths, widescreen acoustic guitars and attacking electro rhythms. That would be The High Wire, an Anglo-Canadian trio based right here in London who are set to release their new single ‘Under A Spell’ on 4 November. Guest vocals on ‘Under A Spell’ come from London gospel legend Nicky Brown (Primal Scream, Madonna) and seasoned soul singer Ladonna Harley-Peters (Florence & the Machine, Groove Armada), sitting alongside those of band members Alexia Hagen & Tim Crompton.

The new album from The High Wire is due out in Spring 2014.
