It’s not just the decor that’s slightly unconventional. Owner Meghna was inspired by a curiosity for often under-appreciated wines. We all know about New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, French Cabernet Sauvignon and Argentinian Malbec, but she’s now highlighting wines from lesser-known wine-producing countries. The list spans far and wide to more than 30 countries, including Moldova, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Georgia, Japan and Brazil.
Meghna says that she wants In Vino Veritas to be a place of “informal exploration”, where guests can taste something they’ve never heard of. The wine bar market is becoming increasingly saturated so it’s nice to see a unique take. But Meghna makes a point that In Vino Veritas isn’t different just for the sake of it – she wants to show just how diverse the world of wine is.
