About the Charity
An inspiring charity has launched a brand new website to help expand its mission of reducing loneliness and creating connection thanks to a collaboration with a leading London based web agency.
Founded in 2021, The Great Friendship Project, is a non-profit organisation who are finding ways to help resolve the epidemic of loneliness among young adults between the ages of 20-30 years old. This charity achieves this through creating meaningful spaces for connection through community events, outreach programmes and educational workshops, which have resonated with thousands of young people, growing their community to over 45,000 members. As the impact of the charity grew, so did their need for a digital presence that could reflect their great cause.
The Collaboration
To support the charity’s growth, the web design agency partnered with The Great Friendship Project to deliver a fully redesigned website pro bono as part of the agency’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative.
The collaboration also included JKR Global, a branding agency that led the reimagined visual identity, bringing new life to the charity’s branding, UI and UX design. From there the web design agency translated the creative direction into a high performing, accessible and easy to use site, built to grow alongside the non-profit over time.
The Website
The result is an interactive site that acts as a digital central hub for The Great Friendship Projects growing community.
The new site now highlights:
- Upcoming community events and initiatives
- Real life stories from community members
- Insightful blog articles to help the community
- Read data showing the measurable impact of the charity
- Partnership opportunities with brands and local organisations
- Strategic campaigns tackling the stigma of loneliness
With an intuitive structure and engaging design, the website is built to be easy to use for the internal team to manage and update as well as to support the charity’s mission for time to come.
A Meaningful Partnership
This project is a powerful example of what can be achieved when charities and agencies come together to create something meaningful. By elevating The Great Friendship Project’s online presence, refining their message and increasing their visibility, this collaboration will support the charity in continuing its incredible work and strengthening its community for years to come.
