This year marks the 40th anniversary of the punk movement and now the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising is joining in the celebrations with a new exhibition called The Graphics of Punk. Focusing on graphic art from the era, it will feature record sleeves and posters from the likes of The Sex Pistols, The Clash, and The Buzzcocks, as well as a number of alternative magazines like Oz, Spare Rib and the International Times. The exhibition gets interactive in November with a Never Mind The Typography talk from font expert Sarah Hyndman and an Experimental Fashion Illustration workshop with Stuart Mackenzie, a former studio assistant at Vivienne Westwood. Punk is definitely not dead.
