The Stokey fave is opening a second North London site this autumn
The Good Egg only recently announced that it was shutting up shop in Kingly Court but it’s very much a case of one door closes and another opens because the team is launching a new site in Camden this October. Taking up residence in Camden Stables Market, The Good Egg will be open all day every day, serving up the same Middle Eastern fare, inspired by Tel Aviv street food, and the Jewish delis and bagel shops in NYC and Montreal, that won legions of fans in Stoke Newington and, more recently, in Margate.
The Camden menu will include many faves from the other restaurants, including:
- babka French toast with blackberry & honeycomb
- The Good Egg shakshuka with preserved lemon yoghurt
- mushroom & harissa arayes
- salt beef, smoked cheddar & dill kraut bagels
- egg, bacon & date pita with amb
- sabich with fried aubergine & fudgy eggs
- lamb shawarma
- zaatar fried chicken
There’ll also be street food fave knafeh ka’ak – crisp kataifi pastry with thyme & orange syrup and lots of gooey cheese, stuffed into a sesame bagel – on offer at the Camden site, alongside natural and biodynamic wines, sour cherry & Campari sodas, and harissa Bloody Marys.
