Go! Team have gone and made a new album, The Scene Between (Memphis Industries). Samples are used more subtly, founder and core member Ian Parton has rostered unknown talents to collaborate with for vocal duties, but the video is directed by long term visual collaborator James Slater. A bit of old mixed with a lot of new.

The video has VHS chromatic wonkiness reminiscent of Bowie’s Ashes to Ashes, a slightly sinister pagan undercurrent to it that conjures Wicker Man, but the tune itself is heavy, dynamic and has a happy clappy vibe that somehow meshes unease with optimism. Yay! Go! Team
