The River Stage, the free outdoor arts festival by the National Theatre, is back for the first time since 2019 and it’s being opened in style with a weekend takeover from The Glory. It kicks off on Friday with the Big Gay Songbook celebrating 50 years of Pride featuring Jonny Woo and Rudi Douglas, plus performances from Myra Dubois and Bolly Illusion and friends, and Indian pop and hip-hop from Hungama. Saturday will see Sue Gives A F@*! and Prinx Chiyo present the best rising Glory talent, line-dancing and Dolly classics from the Barn Dance, and John Sizzle’s Queerdo Disco. You get a chance to be creative on the Sunday as illustator James Davison hosts Drag Life Drawing before Le Gateau Chocolat and Jonny Woo close out the weekend with an Afternoon at the Musicals.
