The Garage in Islington is changing; it’s been bought by the DHP family, who also own Oslo and Thekla in Bristol, and are giving the place a huge revamp. Not only are they giving the venue a bit of a facelift and putting in a brand new sound system, but they are also opening The General Store, an all-day bar on the same site. By day The General Store will serve up coffees and at night it will turn into a craft beer and cocktail bar. And the cocktails will be served in things like cornflakes packets and Campbell’s soup tins, just like you would find in a General Store. It’s a welcome change to The Garage and we can’t wait to see what they do with the place.
Opening February 2017
20-22 Highbury Corner, London, N5 1RD
