Following the original branch in Whetstone, The French Market is opening a second site on Blackstock Road
French friends Amaury, Alexandre and Matthieu have been carving out a little bit of France in London since they opened Authentique Epicerie & Bar in Tufnell Park in 2018. The wine bar was followed by The French Market in Whetstone in 2021 and the Tufnell Park Bakery in the same year. Now the trio have their sights set on a different part of North London for the second branch of The French Market.
Opening on Blackstock Road in Finsbury Park this September, The French Market will, like its big sis, will be an artisanal bakery, coffee shop and deli, showcasing all the best things from across the Channel. The bakery is at the heart of The French Market, with Head Baker Ludovic Fritz whipping up sourdough breads, buttery croissants, kouign amann, flan pâtissier and more, so you won’t be short of pastries to pair with a coffee. The deli will also be stocked with everything from cheese and charcuterie to preserves and pickles, so it really will be your one-stop-shop all things French in Finsbury Park.
