THE FLOWERHOUSE PUB OPENS IN MARYLEBONE

The Flowerhouse is Marylebone’s newest pub and it’s a female-led operation – Jo Jackson, former Chief Creative Officer at Made.com has partnered with the team behind Shoreditch’s The Light Bar to open the venue – that aims to empower and support women from all backgrounds in the hospitality industry. The Flowerhouse will offer apprenticeships and training schemes for a range of roles and offer flexible working hours for mothers returning to work.

The pub also has a fresh and feminine feel, with wallpapers from print artist Kristjana S. Williams, plenty of foliage inside and hanging baskets and window boxes outside, with a flower market stall next to the entrance coming soon too. As well as craft beer, including their own Flowerhouse Pale Ale on tap, and an exciting wine list with many varieties available by the glass, the pub is also shaking up cocktails like the Flowerhouse Spritz (Absolut Blue, Lillet Blanc, caramelised orange & Prosecco) and the Marylebone (Chivaz Regal, Lillet Rouge & Cherry Herring with citrus twist). And in the new year you’ll be able to get a bite to eat too and even stay over with the launch of a flexitarian menu and secret two-floor ‘Insta-apartment’.
