THE FARRIER TO OPEN IN CAMDEN

The Grade II-listed former horse hospital and stables in Camden Market, previously home to Proud, is being transformed into pub and restaurant The Farrier, the market’s first-ever pub. The building is being restored to keep the original exposed brickwork and cast iron features, with the addition of outdoor heating and a fire pit in the hidden courtyard – this is the area that will be opening first, with indoor dining to follow in May.

Ash Finch (who’s worked at The Langham, Wild Honey and Noma) is heading up the kitchen, creating a menu of seasonal, modern rustic dishes like game pie, beef fat cured mackerel, wild smoked pigeon, and salt baked squash, with sharing roasts and bottomless gravy on Sundays.

As The Farrier is also a pub you can bet that the drinks selection is on point. Local beers Camden Hells and Camden Pale Ale will be on tap alongside a rotating range of craft beers. There’ll also be a floor-to-ceiling wine wall stocked with natural, biodynamic and organic wines from around the world, spanning British sparkling wine to orange bottles to rare low production reds. CHIN CHIN.
