The Dorian and Tuna Fight Club Team Is Opening a Sushi Bar

And it sounds like it’ll be another viral sensation

Dorian in Notting Hill is one of the hottest restaurants in town, with reservations almost impossible to secure and a ranking system for guests. Tuna Fight Club, where a whole 200+ kg bluefin tuna is unloaded prepared and served in front of diners, has been a fixture on the city’s social feeds and is a now so popular (despite its £250pp price) that there’s a tiered ticketing system in place, with first-timers having to be invited to purchase them. And now the team behind both spots (who also operate Notting Hill Fish + Meat, Supermarket of Dreams and Urchin), is opening the ten-seater Eel Sushi Bar.

Taking over what was an antiques store on Talbot Road, Eel Sushi Bar will be doing an a la carte menu and will be walk-ins only, with chef Nicky (ex-Dinings SW3) running the show. In an IG post announcing the opening, the team have promised, “no omakase horseshit and ponce. Just great quality, low priced sushi made to order” and, as it will be sharing the Dorian wine list and sommeliers, “the BEST WINELIST OF ANY SUSHI BAR IN THE WORLD.”

We have no doubt that Notting Hill locals and sushi fans will be flocking to this one.
