purveyors of Americana tinged indie rock, The Districts are back with a tune to tap your toes, party like it’s 1999 and mourn your long lost youth too…yes, it’s just that versatile. Singer Rob Grote sounds like a mashup between Julian Casablancas and a long forgotten blues singer who has spent the last thirty years drinking whiskey, chewing baccy and cursing their ex. Toss that into a fire of instantly appealing basslines and clapalong style drumming then hell’s bells…You’ve got a flame that’ll catch on quick.

The Districts are undeniably moreish with a fanbase so supportive they could rival One Direction obsessives in a battle of dedication – doting devotees once coughed up the moolah to help fund new kit after they got their tour bus robbed which is just as well, we’d like an album as soon as is possible. What’s that? There may be one in February time? Go on then!

‘A Flourish And A Spoil’ out Feb 9th 2015 on Fat Possum Records.
