Jungle-themed pub The Deforesters Arms is popping up in London Bridge this October to raise awareness of the deforestation caused by palm oil production and the impact it’s having on orangutan populations in Borneo. Opened by Meridian and run by their animatronic orangutan ambassador Pongo, the pub will be decked out like a jungle oasis and will run a pub quiz, with a £10 ticket getting you entry, a drink, palm oil-free canapes and a Meridian goody bag. All proceeds will be going to International Animal Resuce, a charity that rescues, rehabilitates and releases Bornean orangutans.
