sunshine means day tripping and last week we caught the train to Warwick Castle to check out the Tattinger Afternoon Tea. Located just 1 hour and 20 mins from Marylebone Train Station Warick Castle has something to keep everyone entertained. Birds of Prey show? Merlin experience? Collection of amour and antiques? Done.

The new afternoon tea menu us set in the State Dining Room. A grand room which has hosted the last seven monarchs, royalty, high states persons and movie stars (Cary Grant and Grace Kelly in the 1950s) all for afternoon tea.

The Warwick Castle afternoon tea menu starts with an amuse bouche, followed by a selection of sandwiches, warm scones and delicate patisseries – all made on site. There’s also a variety of tea on offer, the tea itself is a specially selected Twinings blend.

Tea is served in two sittings: 1.30pm and 3.30pm and costs £49 per person served with tea or £59 per person served with Taittinger champagne. Entrance to the Castle is included in the price.
