has come which means we’re in holiday mode, but that doesn’t have to be all about jet setting. Oh no, we’re also big on day trips, too. This week we’ve found out that it’s only 1 hour and 12 minutes from St Pancras to Whitstable with Southeastern. That’s right, in just over an hour you can be at the seaside eating fresh fish and chips. BONUS.

There’s also Shepherd Neame Brewery, the oldest brewery in Britain, if you fancy a cheeky pint (or two) on your way back to London. We’ll drink to that. And if you don’t fancy leaving London, you can always head to Maltby Street Market and get involved in the huge amount of food stalls, popping into Jensen’s Gin afterwards for a bottle of Bermondsey Dry, which is distilled on site. Hey, we never said a day trip had to be out of the city.
