THE CULT WORKOUT CHALLENGE DESIGNED TO GET YOU OUT OF A SLUMP

For those who don’t know what F45 is, it’s a high-intensity fitness routine that has taken the globe by storm. The F stands for functional training, which is a combo of circuit and HIIT-style workouts and 45 is the length of minutes of each class. F45 classes are not for the faint-hearted, they are high-intensity and guaranteed to get your blood pumping. Each class aims to burn around a whopping 750 calories. 

Us Londoners have plenty of F45 studios to choose from across the city. As well as the timetable of classes, you can also sign up for one of the F45 challenges, that run throughout the year. We recently took on one of the F45 challenges, which last six weeks and are great if you’re looking to up your fitness levels (or shock your system). When doing the challenge, F45 recommend doing at least three classes a week, which can be done both in the studio or online. They also have loads of healthy recipes too, and if you’re not much of a chef, you can order the F45 ready meals straight to your house. The team track your progress and keep you on track throughout the challenge, by completing a full body scan at the beginning, middle and end of the six weeks. 

On completing the challenge, it’s fair to say we’re now F45 converts. Not only did we feel a hell of a lot fitter, but it was a great way to get a good dose of endorphins – especially when starting the day at one of their early classes or letting out some steam after work too. Don’t be put off by the name either, it may sound scary and the studios can definitely feel quite serious but the classes are suitable for all fitness levels. And secondly, do not attend a class if you’re super hungover, you will definitely regret it…
